GARLAND, TEXAS -- Garland Civic Theatre continues its "Six Sides of Simon" season with a production of Come Blow Your Horn. The show opened on March 19, and continue with performances March 20, 25, 26, 27, April 1, 2, and 3 at 8:00 p.m. and March 27, 28, April 3 and 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the small theatre of the Granville Arts Center, Fifth and Austin Streets in downtown Garland.
Harry Baker, owner of the largest artificial fruit business in the east, is the father of two sons. One is a 33 year old playboy; the other, a 21 year old with an urge to assert himself.
These two are continually trying their father's easily abused patience. Alan works only two days a week and goes on skiing or golfing jaunts with attractive female companions.
Buddy, hitherto an obedient son who even kissed Aunt Gussie through her veil at Dad's request, has moved into Alan's apartment, leaving a rebellious letter by way of explanation. The richly comic complications that ensue are unfailing inventive and delightful. . "It's completely nuts and banging with laughs." -- NY World Telegram.
Adriana A. Hardy directs Come Blow Your Horn. The set designer is Theresa A. Clapper and the costumes are by Celeste Rogers. The outstanding cast includes Sarah Cline, David Plunket, Ben Westfried, Kimberly Whalen, Carolyn Wickmire, and Jimmi Wright.
Tickets are $19.00 to $22.00 and are available at the Granville Arts Center Box Office or by calling 972-205-2790.
