There is never a dull moment in the life of socialite Mame Dennis after she agrees to raise her orphaned nephew, Patrick. Laugh and cry with her as she tackles life’s challenges and inspires her friends and family with the joy of living.Patty Granville to Appear in GCT’s "Auntie Mame" GARLAND, TEXAS – Garland Civic Theatre will present "Auntie Mame" by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. The play, which previews on November 18, 2004, is based on the novel by Patrick Dennis. The show opens on Friday, November 19 and continues Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 PM through December 4. Matinee performances are scheduled at 2:00 PM November 27, 28, December 4 and 5. The performance normally scheduled on November 25 will be presented on December 1. All performances are in the small theatre of the Granville Arts Center, Fifth and Austin Streets in downtown Garland. Patty Granville, who will be appearing as Mame in this production is supported by a large ensemble cast. The cast includes David Baskin, Joe Cummings, Midge DeSanders, Scott DeSanders, Matt Doden, Bob Downs, Doug Fowler, Moira Galligan, Daniel Guerrero, George Guillot, Jr. Courtney Guzman, John Hogwood, Cindy Kahn, Rachel Lamb, Shawn Messonnier, Josh Porter, Celeste Rogers, Sheila Rose, Richelle Tilghman, and David Tinney. Lori Walker-Hill will direct the production and Bill Bullard and Suzi Shankle are designing the costumes. Tickets are $19.00 to $22.00 and are available at the Granville Arts Center Box Office or by calling 972-205-2790. Please note that a service charge of $1.00 is added for each ticket. Garland Civic Theatre, a member of the Garland Chamber of Commerce, Dallas Theatre League, and Texas Non-profit Theatres, is enjoying its 37th season of theatre in Garland.
